First day of the Castle Rock Tournament

Spanish golfers Sergio García and Jose Maria Olazábal have not scored enough to keep up with the leaders in the first day of the Castle Rock Tournament.

This competition is based on the Stableford way, which gives five points for an “eagle”, two points for a “birdie”, no point for a “par”, and removes one point for a “bogey” and three points for a “double bogey”.

In this way, García summed up a total of 6 points because of an “eagle”, three “birdies”, two “bogeys” and a “double bogey”, while Olazabal played worse and only summed up four points because of four “birdies”, a “bogey” and a “double bogey”.

On the other hand, the tournament is leaded by the Sweden golfer Mathias Gronberg, with a total of 13 points, two points ahead of the Australians Stuart Appleby and John Senden and the American Stewart Cink and Tom Pernice Jr.
