The 17th Spanish Championship of Golf pairs APG-Valle Romano

The Golfers Severiano Ballesteros and Miguel Ángel Jiménez are partizipating from today on in the 17th Spanish Championship of Golf pairs APG-Valle Romano. It takes place in "La Quinta Golf and Country Club of Marbella".

54 holes will be played in the competition with 70 pairs of golfers participating, amongst them Carlos del Corral and Eduardo de la Riva, the champions of the last year edition of the tournament. Furthermore, Severiano Ballesteros, who will play with his nephew Raúl, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Pepín Rivero, Manuel Piñero and Antonio Garrido have confirmed their participation. In total, seven winners of the Ryder Cup will meet in Estepona.

Javier Roura, manager of the Professional Golf Association, explained yesterday that they will play todey “Best Ball” of the Four Ball modality, whereas tomorrow the players will play "Foursom". The cut of 24 pairs will play next Saturday the system "Copa Canadá", where the result of the two players is summed up.
